Renaissance Ink

August 29, 2007 · No Comments

I would like to thank Jay Wirth of Renaissance Ink for kindly offering some of his fine products to feature in my tutorials. A big Thank You to Jay. I heartily recommend you stop by Renaissance Ink and check out the many different products they offer for DBA gamers. Especially check out the DBA specific bases, and the flocking gel you can use for your bases. I was really impressed with what I saw at Historicon, but didn’t get a chance to go to the vendors one more time like I had wished in order to pick up some of the flocking gel.

If you are a vendor interested in featuring your products in my tutorials, or future online projects, please feel free to contact me: dbagamer at yahoo.com.

While I do not offer advertising at this point, I will be offering it after I relaunch the site. You can contact me at the above email address to discuss future opportunities.

Really Big Change Coming!

August 28, 2007 · No Comments

I’d like to thank The Miniatures Page for running the story on my Hobby Guide. It’s drawn a lot of new traffic and interest, and I would like to welcome my new readers. This recent exposure has pushed my plans for this site up a bit, and I recently purchased the thedbagamer.com domain name.

What it comes down to is that I will be taking the site to a different level with more of a magazine feel. I’ll still be featuring my battle/event reports and lots of pictures, but I will also be providing space for advertisers, and offering opportunities for vendors to provide their products to be used in a new feature that will be DBA army (singular) specific. I can’t go into all the details just yet, but DBA players rejoice; something wonderful is on its way!

I’ll be adding the next page in the guide by Friday, which is Priming & Basecoats. For now it’s back to painting medieval foot. :)

More BBDBA Pictures

Thought I would add a couple more pics from Saturday’s BBDBA tournament in Columbus.  The more I reflect on it, the more I like BBDBA.  I can’t wait to play again!

Rich Kurman moving his Classical Indians closer to Jim Kasper’s Syracusans.

John Lawitzke’s Numidians crushing my left flank.  Also, my knights and auxilia chasing John’s blades and jumbos - on blue astro-turf.
