Wednesday begins my coverage of DBA at Historicon. Like last year, I plan on daily pictoral updates and reports. Sunday’s info may be done on Monday.
With my departure to seminary coming in three weeks, I have decided (for various reasons) to lower my internet profile a tad by using a handle and new user ID. The new handle is: Athanasios, my patron saint.
I also wanted to say that I have passed 70,000 hits in a year and a half of starting this blog. THank you so much for stopping by, and I hope you continue to enjoy the blog. Of course, I thank Chris Brantley of Fanaticus for routinely directing traffic here.
See some of you in two days! (Now. back to painting…)

I’ve been photographing my figs, and thus far I have captured my Hellenes and Classical Indians. I am trying to get the hang of using WordPress’s media library function so you guys can see close-ups. Bear with me as I begin to re-design my gallery. *UPDATE Classical Indians and Macedonians have been added/updated in the Gallery. **Spartans too!

I managed to squeak in some time on Andy’s figs today, which has got me jazzed about DBA again. I had been drifting off into dreams of H.O.T.T. armies, but I’ve come back to what I enjoy most–drifting off into dreams of Book II armies. Although, Paul Hannah will be sending me some Samurai to fight my Koreans soon. That adds some incentive to finish Andy’s stuff.
Ah, now to the point of my post: my gallery pics are garbage. I’m re-shooting every army (except Early Crusader, I sold those) with more close ups and better lighting. First one to get re-shot will be my Mike’s Models Classical Indians (whose pics were so bad they never made it to the gallery).
I hope everyone will enjoy the new pics.
